We especially like the stone piers. When asked how they were made Ken replied: "The piers were made from 2x6 Cedar boards.  The horizontal cuts were made with a very sharp, thin hand saw.  The vertical "cuts" to create the individual blocks were made with a screwdriver. The blade of the screwdriver was simply "sharpened" and then given a sharp blow with a hammer or mallet.  (Try to make the horizontal saw cuts equal to the width of the screwdriver blade and then you only need one blow of the mallet to complete each "block" or "brick"....)"
