24-Inch
Deck Girder Bridge and Catwalk
The handrails are brass with a
simulated galvanized powder finish. The stanchions that are used for
the handrails on the catwalk are designed to snap to the inside if
hit from the outside by an errant pet or heavy hands. They snap back
in place very easily and cannot be pushed out from the inside. This
is an important feature in a derailment.
The Catwalk is sold separately from
the Deck Girder Bridge and with out rail. These are designed to take
any code 332 rail on the market. The deck girder bridge also has
holes in the tie strips so that you can screw the Aristo craft track
to the tie strips.
Total assembly time for the catwalks
is less than 30 min. I did mine while I was talking on the phone, so
it might be quicker.

Another
nice feature of the catwalk is that you can use these to top
off your trestle bents to make one nice looking trestle. You
could also put a deck on these and use them for a small
bridge for automobiles or as part of a coal unloading
facility. |
In fact the whole set up could be
adapted for use as a coal unloading facility. The catwalk can be
modified for use on down to 8 foot diameter curves and can be used
on the bridge or trestle configured for curves.

I have worked for the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering
Command, for the last 15+ years.I am currently the Show Manager for
the East Coast Large Scale Train Show.
I guess my love affair with trains started when I was three or
four, steam was king then. I got a Lionel set when I was five, and
have been hooked since. I Moved from 027 in the mid 1950's to HO and
then to N in 1968. I got into Large Scale around 1993; my wife
bought our first large scale set as a joke and is now hooked as much
as I am. Sue and I have been married 30+ years.
